It is important to train an Irish Wolfhound when it is a puppy so that it can be managed as a massive adult. Irish Wolfhounds generally get along well with other pets. This giant breed certainly needs a large yard with a high, secure fence.

An Irish Wolfhound can reach seven feet in height standing on its hind legs and can weigh as much as 180 pounds, about the size of a small pony! Irish Wolfhounds may date back earlier than the first century B.C.
