WE ARE ONLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR POTENTIAL ADOPTERS WHO RESIDE IN INDIANA OR BORDERING STATES. *****DIO MUST HAVE A 6 FOOT PRIVACY FENCE AS HE CAN JUMP ANYTHING SMALLER. ALSO, A HOME WITHOUT MALE DOGS IS A MUST.****** DIO: 2 YR OLD WOLFHOUND/LAB MIX Great with all people & kids Okay with female dogs; not males partially potty trained Dio is such a handsome boy! His unique ... (Read More)good looks insure that he is noticed wherever he goes; he loves people so adores all the attention he gets. He definitely is a social butterfly! Because he was dumped in a rural subdivision, he has some mild separation anxiety. He doesn't get destructive but would be happiest in a home where someone is home with him the majority of the time. Because of his past abandonment, he worries that his people will never come back for him. Dio does best with female dogs; male dogs seem to be very reactive to him, probably because of his large stature combined with a somewhat dominant disposition. He would be fine as an only dog since people are what he is most interested in and he would thrive in a home where he was able to get all the attention he craves. Dio is truly an amazing boy; whoever adopts him is going to be very lucky indeed! His adoption fee is $200; he's neutered, microchipped and current on vaccinations. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting an Irish Wolfhound in Indiana
Irish Wolfhound Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Irish Wolfhound is an enormous dog rivaling the Great Dane in height. Despite its imposing size, the Irish Wolfhound is a gentle, friendly animal that is trustworthy with children. Irish Wolfhounds are friendly with strangers, but may deter intruders simply by their intimidating size. It is important to train an Irish Wolfhound when it is a puppy so that it can be managed as a massive adult. Irish Wolfhounds generally get along well with other pets. This giant breed certainly needs a large yard with a high, secure fence.
